Braided nylon, commonly called 'hanging twine' is described by size. Smaller number = smaller twine
REGULAR BRAID
medium twine
Made with 8 strands of fiber, this twine has a coarser feel and is used for general hanging of nets.
Available in sizes #9 through #42.
Most fishermen believe Regular Braid #8 holds a knot better than Round Braid #16
#15, #18, #21 are the most commonly used sizes for hanging of drift gillnets.
I prefer #18 on my nets.

ROUND BRAID
heavytwine
Made with 16 strands of fiber, with a smoother feel than regular. Also used for hanging, as well as for droppers and breast lines.
Available in sizes #18 through #330
Droppers are available precut to length.
#60, #72 are the most common sizes used for Droppers - { by tying corks to the corkline, and dropping down to attach the weedline }
Some people feel that Round Braid holds a knot better than Regular Braid

MENDING TWINE
light twine
I produce several sizes of light twine for mending and paneling. I dye them in a variety of light and dark blues and greens. The colors are unique, and individual, with every batch a wee bit different.
#3 - Compare to 6 strand web - can break it when you pull too hard to tighten the knots
#4.5 - Similiar to 7 strand web - my favorite for general mending and paneling
#6 - A little thicker
#7.5 - Comparable to 9 strand web
#9 - For the heaviest and toughest, such as 12 strand web - for big kings & silvers!
